Book Blogger Hop & Giveaway: “It smells like home, Ezekiel.”

Q: What’s your immediate feeling when entering a bookstore, as compared to how you feel when entering a department store? (submitted by Maria @ A Night’s Dream of Books)

A: *Oh yay, I’m at work. πŸ˜…* Is that a valid answer? Seriously though, most bookstores in Canada are part of the Indigo chain, so I literally walk into a store and start tidying things and looking around for items I know that we sell. If it’s a used bookstore I usually feel pretty overwhelmed with the chaos, in all honesty. I just don’t know where to start when there are stacks of books everywhere and the shelving system is weird.

l send a copy of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (Indigo’s 2017 Book of the Year) to the first person who correctly identifies where I got the title for this week’s Book Blogger Hop. (Canada and US only)

UPDATE: Contest ends Nov 28, 2017.

  1. The title is from an episode of Gilmore Girls! Its when they turn that big house into a stars hollow museum, and the woman statue keeps saying it. I love it when the horse falls on Taylor and he’s stuck there for a long time πŸ˜ŠπŸ™Œ

  2. Oooooh, you work in a bookstore? Lucky you!! I could spend ALL day in a bookstore, especially the HUGE, two-floor Barnes & Noble I live fairly close to. I just feel like in another world — MY world.

With department stores, I just don’t get the sense of UTTER BLISS that I feel when I step into a bookstore. I just go in to buy whatever I might need, look around a bit, and then leave.

Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!! ❀ πŸ™‚

As for the title of this post, is it a quote from the last episode of "Gilmore Girls"? Crossing my fingers! πŸ™‚
