Q: What’s your immediate feeling when entering a bookstore, as compared to how you feel when entering a department store? (submitted by Maria @ A Night’s Dream of Books)
A: *Oh yay, I’m at work. 😅* Is that a valid answer? Seriously though, most bookstores in Canada are part of the Indigo chain, so I literally walk into a store and start tidying things and looking around for items I know that we sell. If it’s a used bookstore I usually feel pretty overwhelmed with the chaos, in all honesty. I just don’t know where to start when there are stacks of books everywhere and the shelving system is weird.

The title is from an episode of Gilmore Girls! Its when they turn that big house into a stars hollow museum, and the woman statue keeps saying it. I love it when the horse falls on Taylor and he’s stuck there for a long time 😊🙌

Oooooh, you work in a bookstore? Lucky you!! I could spend ALL day in a bookstore, especially the HUGE, two-floor Barnes & Noble I live fairly close to. I just feel like in another world — MY world.
With department stores, I just don’t get the sense of UTTER BLISS that I feel when I step into a bookstore. I just go in to buy whatever I might need, look around a bit, and then leave.
Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!! ❤ 🙂
As for the title of this post, is it a quote from the last episode of "Gilmore Girls"? Crossing my fingers! 🙂

I guess bookstores would probably be a little less exciting if you work in one, but it’s still kind of a dream job.
Have a great weekend.
