Whenever a brewery comes out with a book-themed beer I get so excited to try it. I’m actually totally surprised that there aren’t more lists like this, but then, maybe there aren’t as many people as weirdly excited about these things as I am? Anyway, these are all from breweries in Ontario, Canada, because that’s where I am!
- Harry Porter by Great Lakes Brewery
- Folklore by Bench Brewing Co.
- Wonky Bastard by Nickel Brook Brewing Co.
- Epigraph by Royal City Brewing Co.
- The Fryfogel Fox by Shakespeare Brewing Co.
- Gnarnia by Sawdust City Brewing Co.
- Storyteller Lager by Storyteller Beverages
- Armchair Scotch Ale by Maclean’s Ale
- Illiterate Librarians by Refined Fool Brewing Co.
- Reynard The Fox by Descendants Beer & Beverage Co. Ltd.
- Mad Quacker by Lake Wilcox Brewing Co.
- Stranger Than Fiction by Collective Arts Brewing Ltd.
Have you ever tried a bookish beer? Which one of these would you want to try?

When we can all come out of lockdown I plan to go check out a few of these breweries in person. 🙂

So cool! I honestly would prefer any other type of alcohol to beer, or just tea. There’s probably plenty of bookish teas.

Yeah, beer definitely isn’t for everyone. It took some time before I found flavours and brands that I actually liked.
There are definitely a tonne of different bookish teas out there. I have been on the hunt for bookish coffee too.

Not a beer drinker, but those would be great just to collect. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/05/ttt-050520.html

I didn’t realize it was a thing until I went to Great Lakes Brewery with a friend and found out they had a beer called Harry Porter.
There’s a brewery in Indianapolis called Books & Brews (www.booksnbrews.com) that I definitely want to check out some day. It has so many amazing bookish beers!

It’s definitely an acquired taste. I will have to write a post for all the non-beer drinkers out there with stuff like bookish teas and coffee. 🙂

Ha ha I actually don’t drink those either! I’ve had book themed hot chocolate before though 🙂

I always tell people who don’t drink beer that they should start with something like a radler or cider. It’s sweeter and tastier for beginners. 🙂

Haha, good tip. I just don’t like the taste of it! I could never finish even half a bottle. I prefer white wine!

I had no idea there were so many. Now I’m on a bit of a mission to try as many of these as I can. As soon as the lockdown is over I’m going on a road trip with my best friend. 🙂

This is the best take on this prompt yet lol. I don’t like to drink, so I’d be joining your party with my own mug of green tea, but I love the design of them. Perhaps I could try some Butter Beer………

Aww, thanks! My first thought was to do a simple party plan, but when I started thinking about all the bookish beers I know about it just seemed like such a perfect prompt. And if I ever throw a bookish party, I would be sure to have bookish teas, coffees, and other goodies for the non-drinkers in my gang. 🙂

Oh my gosh, this is so cool! I didn’t realize there were bookish beers. I love it! I don’t generally drink/like beer, but I’d at least be willing to give all these a try, for sure!
Here’s my TTT post.
