Book Blogger Hop: Spending Habits

Q: If you own an eBook, would you also purchase a print copy as well? (submitted by Tabatha @ Broken Soul Reviews)

A: If I really love an ebook… I mean, REALLY, then I will buy a physical copy of the book. This happens in very rare cases, such as with Becky Chambers’ books. I do this for a couple of reasons:

  1. To support the author
  2. Because eBooks aren’t forever
  3. Usually the cover art is amazing and I need to own it

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer that runs from Friday to Thursday. Visit other blogs in the list and comment on their posts. 1. That’s a nice answer. I mostly do it by accident and sometimes I buy an eBook after I’ve bought a physical book because I miss the things that make an ebook convenient.

  2. I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s BBH answers. The short answer for me is generally no. However, if I’ve read an ebook by a favourite author that I’d like to get signed one day then yes! 💜😊
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Amanda, stay safe and healthy.

  3. Yes to all three of these reasons! You make a good point about e-books not being forever. And it’s hard to resist a beautiful cover of a physical book. And I do like to support authors. It’s why I so often give books as gifts. I hope you have a great week.
