TTT: 10 Most Anticipated Releases for the Second Half of 2020

I feel like I find new books that I want to read every day, but these are the ones on the top of my list for now. Of course, I’m sure by the end of this week after looking through all the other Top Ten Tuesday posts that bloggers post I’ll have an entirely new set of books I want to read. 😅

Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams – Third book in the series where men read romance novels to learn how to be better partners.

Opium and Absinthe by Lydia Kang – Drug addiction, vampires, murder, and 1899 New York City. Need I say more?

The Lending Library by Aliza Fogelson – I’ll always give a small town girl starting her own library a try. I can’t wait for this one.

The Lost and Found Bookshop by Susan Wiggs – This book is all about old bookstores in historical buildings, loss, love and second chances, so I’m in!

I Kissed Alice by Anna Birch – A cute LGBTQ romantic comedy about enemies, lovers, and everything in between.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig – “Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived.”

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke – Piranesi’s house is no ordinary building: its rooms are infinite, its corridors endless, its walls are lined with thousands upon thousands of statues, each one different from all the others.

Solutions and Other Problems by Allie Brosh – For the first time in seven years, Allie Brosh returns with a new collection of comedic, autobiographical, and illustrated essays.

Spellbreaker by Charlie N. Holmberg – There are two kinds of wizards in the world: those who pay for the power to cast spells and those born with the ability to break them.

One for the Books by Jenn McKinlay – I have been waiting for this series to continue for so long! Love is in the air in Briar Creek as library director Lindsey Norris and boat captain Mike (Sully) Sullivan are finally tying the knot.

What books are you excited to see published in the next 6 months?

  1. I’m a sucker for any title with the words library, book store/shop (or just the word book by itself), reading, etc. Looks like you are, too. So many bookish titles on your list, I love it!

  2. These are both new to me, but The Lending Library and The Lost and Found Bookshop both look great — I’ve read a couple of novels from the latter, so I’m especially interested there. And omigosh, how could I forget about a Hyperbole and a Half follow-up!
