Starting with books for younger readers and working my way up to books that I hope to share with the youth in my life as they mature.
Ten Book Recommendations for Bibliophiles
I work in a bookstore, so it's pretty safe to say that I love books. I'm not obsessed with books like some people I have met, but I do really love a great book... especially when it's a book about books. I think that anyone who really loves books gets a bit of a thrill from when reading about other bibliophiles.
Ten Of The Most Unique Books I’ve Read
I pride myself on being someone who reads books that not everyone else has read. I love being able to share my unique finds with customers and friends. All of these books are special in their own way. Some are very well-known, while others are hidden gems. I can't wait to see what other people have... Continue Reading →
Review: ‘Heartless’ by Marissa Meyer
I love when authors add to a classic story to try to explain why certain characters act the way they do, especially when it's a villain. We always just assume that these bad guys are angry, crazy, evil people who enjoy hurting others for no good reason. And sure, sometimes that's true, but often new authors... Continue Reading →
Review: ‘Ever the Hunted’ by Erin Summerill
I was really excited to read Ever the Hunted when I learned that Sarah J Maas liked it because I'm a bit of a Maas fangirl right now. Unfortunately, I don't think that this book lived up to the hype.
Review: ‘A Courtroom of Ashes’ by C.S. Wilde
Santana Jones is a no-nonsense, high profile attorney who has found herself in possession of a very unique mirror that allows her to see into the spirit world. But the mirror proves to be more than just a window, and she soon learns that not all the dead are harmless ghosts.

I did manage to celebrate my 7th wedding anniversary with... Continue Reading →
Review: ‘The Invisible Library’ by Genevieve Cogman
You all know my weakness for books about books, so it should come as no surprise that I had to read The Invisible Library. I wrote about it in a Wishlist Wednesday not long ago, and actually preordered it just to make sure I had it on hand the moment it was released. Synopsis: Irene... Continue Reading →
Review: ‘Red Queen’ by Victoria Aveyard
Since the June OwlCrate theme is 'royalty', and it was hinted that some of the content might be related to Red Queen and The Lunar Chronicles, I figured I should at least read one of the books that was mentioned. Red Queen has been promoted a lot lately in my store, so I figured I... Continue Reading →
